Music

this is the link to one of my favourite songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Rmil_raUtU&feature=related
This topic is not very nice for me because generally I listen to everything apart from techno:) I do not have my favourite singer or band but I really like Amy Winehouse and Katie Melua. I assume you know many facts about Amy's life so I would like to tell you a few words about Katie. She was born in Georgia, but moved to Northern Ireland at the age of eight and then relocated to England at the age of 14. She has released four albums so far. The latest is 'The Katie Melua Collection'.
In 2005 she sang 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' with the band the Queen which had been her dream since she was a child. On 2 October 2006, Melua entered the Guinness Book of Records for playing the deepest underwater concert 303 metres below sea level on Statoil's Troll A platform in the North Sea. She later described achieving the record as "the most surreal gig I have ever done". My favourite songs of hers are: 'Just like heaven', 'Toy collection' and 'The closest thing to crazy'.

My home town is Śrem. It is 45 kilometres to the south of Poznań and has a population of about 31 thousand. I do not want to bore you with long descriptions of my town so I will just put the most important information about Śrem.
Although Śrem is not a big city, it has all things which a city should have:) There are many companies of different specialisations, e.g. metallurgy, furniture production, transport, window and door production, textiles and food processing. So as you can see almost everyone will find something interesting.
If we take attractions into consideration, there are quite a few of them. There are three beautiful parks where you can go and do whatever you want (do not think about stupid things:)), there are several good restaurants where you can eat delicious food and some discotheques but personally I like none of them.
If you like sport, you will be pleased with my city because it has a lot of sport facilities such as stadium, swimming pool, gymnasiums, bowling alleys and yacht club which is situated near a huge lake. Unfortunately, you have to be brave to swim in this lake because the water is awfully dirty. Recently, a new ice rink has been opened but I haven't been there yet.
As far as education is concerned, you may find a branch of Adam Mickiewicz University but you can study there only chemistry and tourism.
To sum up, I must admit that in the past I didn't like my city because it was boring for me but now when I study in Poznań I am really happy that Śrem is not as big as Poznań:)
